Having trouble with clogged ears: Any ideas?
I've been having trouble with my ears being clogged for a few weeks. I don't have a sinus infection or anything like that. I have Sjögren's and a number of other autoimmune diseases. I've been using Nasacort but that helps for a little while but then I comes back. Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks

The utube videos are spot on about the procedure. It shows step by step exactly what happens while under. It’s wise to watch it and see how it’s done and how it helps. Joanne
@ktgirl I’m wondering if you ever called your doctor and got your ears clogging? Any suggestions on how to prevent it happening?
Actually I did call but she was out of the office for the week. They told me to call back the next week. My ears unclogged and have been fine since. Hopefully they will stay that way. They were clogged for a few weeks so I'm not sure what was going on. Anyway I'm happy they're better.

I also have had ballooning done one year ago. I had not had any benefit. There was no fluid buildup but I do have allergies. I later read that the allergy condition must be under control before ballooning is successful. I seem to be in more distress when the barometric pressure changes and the humidity changes . Which is always. Help I need some suggestions.
Funny enough, I do. My neurologists' P.A. just gave it no thought, said "Oh, maybe you have a little wax in your ears, that's it," about three weeks ago. Anymore, I sometimes just give up because there are too many questions, not enough answers. I have MOGAD. I thought perhaps lesions or inflammation in my brain that are causing some hearing problems? Last week my opthalmologist easily saw some very inflamed optic nerves so makes sense! Does your diagnosis include that possibility? Blessings your way!
My husband had that for a few weeks when he was recovering from a difficult time in his life. We also thought it was wax but ears checked out ok. What it seems to have been was anxiety. He was stressed out and really could not take talking with company, so his mind stuffed up his ears. As he became stronger the hearing returned to normal...good luck !
So far I have gone to four ENT’s one was at Johns Hopkins hospital. All have said it is eustation tube inflammation swelling from a histamine which means allergy. I have been receiving allergy shots for 15 months but each time the barometer goes up I get more clogged. Also wet weather does it too. I am hoping to find an ENT who will know whether ballooning again will help. I’m desperate it’s been three years of this.
Thanks Becky.
