Chronic sinus infections and ear infections
I was just wondering what else I can do with chronic sinus infections and ear infections? I have to have antibiotics 3 or more times a year. I went to a ent and all they did was do a camera to check out I had a deviated nasal spectum and hearing test. He gave Me a prescription for azelastine with saline spray. It works to a point. I used to use flonase for years till recently. I can't take it anymore due to eye pain and eye pressure. I was just wondering what else I can do.
Thank-You for Your help! I also hope it was ok to post this.

Up until a year ago I was plagued by chronic sinus infections that required many antibiotics one after another. Allergy testing found I was highly allergic to dust mites. I was put on Azelestine in the morning which helped my runny nose stop running and my ENT also added momentasome at night. Two great combinations which have kept me free from sinus infections for an entire year! I’ve added Miracle sheets that are infused with silver to keep dust mite debris down too. You might ask your doctor to prescribe Mometasone spray to use before bed. It was truly a game changer for me. Best of luck!

2 Reactions@caringissharing, @ Faith&Hope, God Bless You! I feel your pain.
My sinus & allergies issues worsened after COVID. I find that irrigating my sinuses with Neilmed Sinus rinse helps tremendously. It cleans out the sinus cavity. I use this when I feel a sinus infection coming on or when (like now!) we are peak high pollen allergy season.
Do you use a very good hepa filter in your bedroom to pull out the allergens from the air? This has helped me as well.
There is a website Pollen.com that will tell you the air quality in your area so you can prepare for that day. I just had total knee replacement and have only been outside to go to PT due to the pollen being so heavy right now. If I go outside in this, I will get a sinus infection. Allergy shots did not work for me.
I also take Zinc, Vitamin C & Vitamin D3 with K2.
Praying for you right now to get better. Blessings & Prayers....

3 ReactionsMake sure your dentist checks your upper back molars, especially if you've had fillings/crowns there. My dentist suspected an abscessed tooth (it was a little sensitive at times but never really hurt). The odontogenic sinusitis was discovered via a CBCT scan at the endodontist. The infection actually had eroded the bone and it never showed up on a regular sinus CT scan.

Thank-You! For Your help and suggestions. I appreciate them!
I do saline rinse. The Neil med when I feel like I am coming down with it also. Other than that I use saline spray 2x a day with azelastine 2x a day. Morning and night. I just get sick of antibiotics. Thank-You again!

1 Reaction@covidstinks2023 Ask your ENT doctor if he customize a nasal rinse for you at a compounding center. Yes, it does have antibiotic & a steroid in it, but, this goes directly to the sinus cavity and not through your liver or kidneys.
These helps me not take so many oral antibiotic.
Blessings & Prayers...

2 ReactionsThank-You covidstinks2023!
I was taking a flonase that had a steriod in it. I do have to be careful with steriods because of My diabetes and eye pressures. Before I stopped taking the flonase it was causing My eyes to hurt. They have been keeping an eye on My eyes to make sure I don't get glaucoma.
I appreciate You telling Me this!
God Bless!
