Chronic Scalp Itch. Not Seb. Dermatitis. Please help

I've had an itchy scalp now for 4 years and nothing works or helps even a little bit. Derm. gave me ketoconazole and steroid spray but didn't work at all; she didn't see anything with the scope either. The itch moves around and is often triggered by air blowing on my scalp. Anyone else experience this?

I finally got in to see a neurologist for my chronic neuropathic itch about a month ago. Given the choices of medication he gave me I chose Cymbalta. It’s an antidepressant, but it tends to relieve chronic itch.

My itch started with my scalp and ears, but ultimately spread to my upper right arm and my upper back. While Cymbalta hasn’t been a complete success, my arm and back itch is gone, but my scalp itch remains.

@absoloodle What caused the neuropathy though? Was it idiopathic?

When you go outside, wear a hat to cover up your. For other parts of your body, make sure you have a shirt or a jacket covering them up.
You need to look into your shampoo, Your body soap, Your laundry soap, Softeners if you use them, And anything that touches your skin. If any of them are new Or have writing on the bottles that say new and improved means that they changed their formula and what they did. Perfumes and coloring are a big no. As a lot of people are sensitive to the perfumes, fresh sense, and the coloring
