Chlamydia infection

Hi im looking for help and answers , im 25 male after a unprotected sex i had burning painfull ejaculation from there problems just started : burnins sensation while peeing , cloudy discharge, having pain in my testicles and lower abdominal i googled the symptons and from the research i found that i got infected with STDI’s . After 5 days of symptoms i went to the parents parenthood they did tests for me and it came back positive for Chlamydia , they gave me 2 tablets of azithromycin and some kind of shot i dont remember the name. After that burning sensation while peeing and cloudy disarche went away but Pain in my testicles ( mostly right ) and abdominal pain have stayed. I waited over a month for these 2 symptoms to clean but they didnt i mailed doctor they gave me doxycylie 2 times a day for a week ( that didnt help with pain in testicles and lower abdominal pain ) I waited again a month for the symptoms to clear but they didnt. I went back to the clinic for STD’s tests and they all came back negative ( they also did HIV tests which was also negative ) so the doctor told me to go to the emergency room for the ultra sound radiology they did that and they said everything is fine with my testicles ( doctor at the emergency room told me that my testicles are hurting because i want to have sex so bad which was a absurd for me ). Than i waited again a month for the symptoms to clear but they didnt , I visited urgent care all they did was push on my abdominal ( while pushing i had no pain ) they took a look on my testicles and sent me home without a answares , all they did say to take zantac maybe that would help. So here im after around 5 months of testicle and abdominal pain ( testicles are also swollen ) i did bought zantas and somehow it helps me a little the pain is much weaker but its still there ( i took zantac for 2 weeks than i stopped after that pain came back again strong so i went back on taking zantac ) . Oh i also forgot to say i have white coating at the end of my tounge with red bumps ( at urgent care they said its not a oral thrush because it doesnt hurt me and i have this since i took the antibiotics i tryed to brush it off with tounge brush but it only helps a little bit and it comes back ) So my question is what should i do or who should i see ? i have no insurance i spent alot of money which i had to borrow . Im looking forward for help thank you.

With you having oral thrush you may try fluconazole as this may be from a yeast infection. Some people, even males, have a hypersensitivity to candida. The fluconazole will kill it within 24-48 hours. Nasty stuff on your liver, but you are not taking this on a regular regime, so no issues there. Hell, it sounds like you have tried everything else, however, the doctor who mentioned your overwhelming desire for sex may also not be too far off base. Males will get what we term as “blue balls”, which can cause serious testicular pain. Try masturbation as well. It sure will not hurt anything, and it may even put you in a better mood, considering your situation over the past five months. Good luck, and let us know how that goes. I’m sure we’re all waiting with bated breath!

HI @123spring123 you may have noticed I moved your post to your original post on chlamydia so that all parts of this discussion would be in one thread. Simply click VIEW & REPLY to view your post.

I also wanted to introduce you to fellow Connect member @xlexflashx as he has experience with chlamydia and may be able to share his experiences.

Back to you, @123spring123, can you describe the pain you are having? Is it a burning pain like while urinating, or is a dull achy pain?

I am having some similar symptoms, negative tests, white coating on my tongue, but with slightly enlarged prostate. My doctor did a throat swab and that came back with a staff infection, I’m not sure if that’s connected but he also said he suspected Prosatits and I e been take antibiotics for about a month with not much improvement. Still looking for some answers as well.

Hi thank you for moving my post to A right place , i do not have burning pain or any pain while urinating it's hard to describe the pain it could be dull achy but the pain is kinda pulsating sometimes into my leg the pain is always with me doesnt matter what I do I feel it when I'm in bed , standing up or sitting down my testicles are swollen right one slightly more than the left one. About the abdominal pain I would describe it as someone would keep squeezing it or pushing it down

Can anyone help me? I’ve been treated for chlamydia for about 3 months now and I am still having issues. All negative and it feels like prostatitis and a bad uti. Frequent urination, burning and pain at the tip and groin. I am a male and I’ve been to multiple doctors and I just want it to go away. It’s really unfortunate. You can also tell me your experience and maybe could possibly help each other.

Hi @da_best that is very frustrating. I wanted to tag fellow Connect members @123spring123 and @xlexflashx as they have both mentioned chlamydia in the past and may be able to update us on how they felt since they last shared their stories.

Back to you @da_best How have you been treated, and how are you currently treating this, if at all?

I’ve been treated back in February for 7 days with doxycycline. Few days after, I started having symptoms but like burning, frequency urination, and feels like prostatitis. I got tested again. Then I got put back on antibiotics. Test came back negative. After that symptoms came and go. I went back to a different doctor and I got tested 3 more times, everything was negative. Recently, I went in about 2 weeks ago or so. He checked to see if I have Prostatitis, and then put me back on doxycycline (28 tablets). He said, if it don’t go away he will refer me to a specialist. All the symptoms that the people in here describe is the exact same. The symptoms are not gone, but the doxycycline seems to help it a little bit. I’m just tired of this and want to resume going back to my routines without having to think or worry about this. It’s really unfortunate the fact I got this. I’m not the type of guy to go having sex with whoever and honesty was my second person I’ve been with and it’s really unlucky. Passed months have been rough and it would put a lot stress off me if this gets resolved.

Do you look about candida. After all those antibiotics it's possible for you to have candida.

Hi,

I contracted Chlamydia about a month ago from a girl I started dating. The treatments that I have been undertaking don't seem to be working. What's happening, and why isn't the treatment working? What can I expect? Is it possible that the symptoms will remain indefinitely, and what would that mean for my health?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

A bit of background on my symptoms and the treatments I have had so far: My symptoms are a burning sensation when I pee, low sex drive, and painful orgasms. When I was first diagnosed, my doctor prescribed azithromycin. My symptoms improved about 5 days later, but then returned a day or two after that. I was then retested for Chlamydia and my test was positive. My doc then prescribed doxycycline, and I just finished the course of antibiotics, but my symptoms are still there. Note that I have not been sexually active with anyone since being diagnosed.

That must be so frustrating that no treatments are working. I wanted to introduce you to fellow Connect members @da_best @123spring123 and @xlexflashx as they have experience with chlamydia and may be able to offer you support.

Back to you @andyone What did you doctor say would be the next step for your treatment?

I was treated for Chlamydia in October 2018 after an assault (it could’ve been worse)
After my first treatment all of my symptoms went away.

Anyway i abstained from sex until February.
Around late February my partner started having symptoms. I got rechecked and I still had the infection. I got treated again ( my second time receiving treatment.
A month later I got rechecked and i was told I still had the infection and was retreated (my third time)

Last month I went back and got rechecked and once again I was told I still have the infection and retreated me. This time with pills that lasted an entire week. This was my FOURTH time being treated.

I know that having Chlamydia for a long period of time can cause problems such as infertility or cause different infections to come around

Any ideas on why it may not be going away? After trying different medications and adhering to the instructions?
