changes in penis appearance
has anyone experienced a lot of thick fleshy penis shaft skin, a wide shaft, and the skin covering the glans, hanging down making it so difficult to stand and urinate ?

Good grief, I have not started my treatment yet, I was born premature and with cryptorchidism so the tool never got to its full potential LOL right now he is running scare some days takes me a few minutes to find it 🙂 you take two inches off I will have to pee thru a funnel hahaha

I assume everyone here talking about changes had thier prostate removed? Taking hormone blockers? Please clarify. If removed was it Robotic and nerve sparing? Has anyone seen these drastic changes after Brachy only? Trying to determine my direction with early stage confined to gland cancer. PSA 4.5, 2 of 12 with 1mm very slight 3+3=6 and area of concern having 10mm 3+4=7 with only 70% of core showing abnormal and only 10% of that is a 4 so very early. PSA PET showed no other spread. Having a hard time deciding. Any advice would be appreciated.
We were never told all this I bet by our doctors, it’s very depressing at my age to look at my penis and knowing a 10 yr old has a bigger one , I’m 8 months post surgery and Radiation, pump never worked , and now having bad reaction to Trimex , I didn’t sign up for this I feel a big part of my golden years has been taken from me .

Your age is very important, as others have said. Treatment outcomes for both modalities are pretty much the same.
If you only have a very small area of G4, depending on where it is in the gland, you might be a candidate for focal therapy - HIFU, TulsaPro, etc.

yes loosing 2 inches and having long thick shaft skin cover my glans not really seeing my urethra opening makes urinating so difficult with out pulling shaft skin back, while sitting , or risk urinating thru toilet seat opening and having it run down my long fleshy scrotum, always a detailed clean up and so frustrating

Thanks for the input. I am still trying to find out if the majority of these changes to your penis was due to a prostatectomy? I have not been told these issues would happen with Brachy Radiation?
I am meeting with both a Surgeon and a Radiologist at Moffit Cancer Center (Center of Excellence) in Tampa this Wednesday and will specifically ask this question. I have been told that focal therapy is not recommended as a first line treatment, but again I will ask.
