CBD oil for Neuropathy

Has anyone used CBD oil or anything similar for use in relieving Neuropathy?

I have PN in my feet. CBD oil did nothing. I don't think it penetrated to the nerves in order to work. Medical marijuana just gets you stoned and doesn't work on neuropathy. Why should any combination work?? First of all, don't smoke it because it can have negative affect on your lungs. Second, even when I tried a combination of THC and CBD, I realized why I stopped smoking pot 50+ years ago.

And BTW, I think whenever we are mentioning a solution for pain and somebody recommends a brand or a website, I get suspicious that there is a financial incentive to advertise a certain brand. Be careful.

I might as well start out with, "Everybody is Different". I know that is not a surprise, but I just want to ease into my experiences with Cannabis after that last read.
My feet started bothering me in the 70's. I tried all kids and names of sneakers. At first I thought I might have to wear "Clinic Shoes" for the rest of my life. (At that time, most of the Nurses wore them and they were always white.) With my Outside Sales work, I could NOT get away with sneakers in a suit. Fast forward to many, many foot doctors, failed surgeries and finally a diagnosis in 2016 for Peripheral Neuropathy. I was prescribed Cannabis. Here is where the real test was to find the the correct Medical CBD. I won't smoke it, I have no desire to get "high". There are so many strengths, kinds, forms, and it was expensive and time consuming to find the "right" pain "reducer" for me. Months and months later, I finally found something that takes about !/3 to 1/2 the pain away, with not a hint of "high". It's a small capsule I take every morning. I also use THC ointment, but only for my feet at night and in the morning. It cuts the pain, and my pain is quite severe. I am grateful that my state makes these products available. Nothing else has come close to easing my foot pain. It's expensive and a "bother", but it works for me!

First, I am glad to hear when anybody gets relief. What kind of capsule do you take? CBD?? and what strength? Also, what is the THC ointment and what strength? You are right that "Everybody is Different" and sadly there are so many expensive scams out there. We are desperate so we try.

I feel like I should always start with an explanation statement. This time it is, of course, that these products are available in my particular state. I don't know about yours. Too bad it is like that, but unfortunately, it is still considered "new". I can get real worked up about alcohol being granted the freedom of purchase, not Marijuana, but that does not help anyone here. I digress. I am in PA, this product is made here by Standard Farms. This capsule is 330MG of CBD. Once daily, never gets RID of the pain, but at least significantly decreases my pain. I have to keep saying "my", since it is always the old, "we are different" thing.
I wish it were not the trial and error product thing, but it is. Easy to swallow, small capsule. I have the drops as well, supposed to be the same strength, but does NOT work for me.
The THC ointment can vary, most work the same for pain reduction on the body.
BTW, don't buy on the "street" and expect quality. I hope you are in a State that has been enlightened. Good luck!

You are right about "don't buy on the "street" and expect quality". That goes without saying. I am in NYC and as far as being "enlightened", the stench of Marijuana is all around no matter where you go. I'm sure people are driving cars and 2-wheel vehicles stoned out of their mind. So much for enlightened.

This is Joan from Napa. I have pretty much every neuropathy around: peripheral; fibromyalgia: small fiber - plus myalgic encephalomyalitis. Add in a 9 level spinal fusion (lucky me - titanium rods broke! My body didn’t grow any support tissue around the fusion because I was on prednisone for other neuropathies - hence the break). So a second 9 level fusion that somehow left me with nerve damage, and I can’t walk more than 100 steps; can’t stand up unsupported more than 10 minutes; and have almost no balance. Permanent. But I had a wonderful active life as a dancer/choreographer/teacher for many decades, and have the best husband in the world, so I have more blessings than problems. But my feet hurt - a lot. Toes and bottoms and they feel like wooden blocks. Would plain CBD oil help, applied externally? I take it from a dropper for anxiety tummy and it really helps. But nothing has helped my foot pain as yet. It’s always there, but episodically becomes unbearable and stabbing. Help!

Maybe try Bio-Freeze gel and rub it in on your feet, helps me a lot. Treetop

The PN in my feet has taken me on many paths for relief! On my quest to find the "right product solution," I tried Bio-Freeze. I could not get to the tub fast enough to scrub it off. My feet were on fire with horrific pain. I did not think my pain could get worse, but that taught me to try a "toe at a time". Just advising to go for the "A little dab will do ya" thinking with new products! Best wishes!

My problem is that my husband has to be available to apply because I cannot bend over that far with my fused spine to actually touch my feet. Such fun! But he has gotten really good at shaving my legs, lol. Imagine that - a navy fighter pilot shaving his wife’s legs.
