Cataract surgery while on the big 3

Has any one had cataract surgery while on the big 3. I've been on the big 3 for 7 months . My right eye has a bad cataract and it is starting to be very difficult to read- it's hard to focus with 1 eye with good vision and the other so bad. My ID doctor says he doesnt have a problem with my proceeding with surgery. My May sputum tests did come back negative.
