Cannot sleep lying down or look down without head pain.
I cannot sleep lying down, or tilt my head in any way, without migraines now. It is torture. I have to sleep sitting and keep my head level at all times, it's the only way I can keep my headaches at bay. Even then, it only delays the headaches. Ibuprofen and excedrin are no help. I can hardly use my eyes anymore, the pressure behind them are so intense.
What do I do? I cannot live the rest of my life like this. I am becoming a shell of a person because everything I use to enjoy doing has become incredibly painful.
I was told it was a sinus infection months ago, but after seeing an ENT and trying all kinds of things (decongestants, pain killers, nasal sprays (steroid, antihistamine, saline, combination), neti pot, nasal aspirator, etc.), absolutely nothing has worked. Only put off the pain by a few hours.
If I sleep on my back, the inflammation in my sinuses and post nasal drip, guarantees I will have a migraine the next morning.
Please help, I have been dealing with this for nearly a solid year now. It has gotten worse and worse as the days go by, I feel like I'm dying and none of my healthcare providers are able to help.

That really sucks, I can't believe that doctors can't give you some better options or show more interest in your problems. I have to sleep sitting in a recliner because of my 2 neck surgeries, I can't sleep in bed like "normal" people do. I haven't been able to sleep in the same bed with my wife for 10 years.
Any chance the headaches might be related to your caffeine intake? Too little, or too much? We're all addicted to it one way or another.

Are you seeing a neurologist and have you had MRIs of your head and cervical spine to see what may be behind your symptoms? I had daily headaches and have cervical spinal stenosis which causes all sorts of symptoms. They improved after I had surgery.
My son’s neurologist suggested he take omega 3, magnesium and vitamin d supplements for his migraine with aura and this has helped him (he is 16). He also suggested staying well hydrated and use electrolytes added to the water for better retention. The recommended amount to drink daily usually is around a minimum of 50% of your body weight in ounces of water. For example, if someone is 150 pounds, they would need a minimum of 75 ounces of water per day. We use LMNT electrolyte powder and it was rated as one of the better ones to use.
