Can you have 2 hip spacers due to staph infection

Hi! I had one loose hip replacement removed 10 days ago. I have a staph infection in the hip area that has been identified as MSSA. My surgeon put an antibiotic spacer in and I will use an antibiotic IV for six weeks. My question is about my other loose hip replacement. It will need to be removed but I’m terrified to have a new hip replacement put in first because I worry about lingering staph. Could I have a spacer with antibiotics put in instead and walk on two spacers rather than replacing one in several months? I’ve made quick progress using a walker and wonder if anyone has used two spacers to avoid reinfection. I’d like to wait a year to get new hips after going through hip replacement removal and debridement. Frankly I’m having a hard time dealing with more surgeries after this one. Getting the original 2 hip implants was a breeze compared to stage 1 of a revision.
