@lvtexas

I agree that is a loaded question. There are no guarantees except this one - do nothing and the outcome is swift. Do something and both the length and quality of your life is extended. No one can or should answer this question. I was told not to Google. That data is old. Be positive and know that you did the best or most that could be done. Be grateful for every single day. I find that I appreciate the simple things: sun on my face, birds chirping and smelling roses. We are planning trips and looking forward to a future.

lvtexas,

Material that one's gets by "googling" is not necessarily old ... that is why citations and research are dated.

Who would tell you something like that?

Of course everyone should use the internet for research and background information - in some cases you may be more up to date than some rural medical practices - and this background will allow you to ask the right questions, and, hopefully, you will come to the conclusion that you need to go to a pancreatic cancer center of excellence to be treated.

Please attempt to find or relocate to a center of the excellence.

Can you provide the exact terms your doctor used regarding your diagnosis?

More info would be helpful. Did you have a scan (CT or MRI)? I'm assuming so, since a lesion was observed on the liver. If that's correct, then has your case been declared stage 4? What about blood vessel involvement? You mention no surgery, which sounds like the tumor has wrapped around blood vessels, making removal dangerously difficult and thus impossible. Also, what is your CA 19-9 blood test reading?

Is the doctor who gave you this info an oncologist? I wasn't sure. You want to be in the care of an MD who is an oncologist with extensive experience in pancreatic cancer. You mention you're from the Caribbean. Do you still live there? If so, where? That will be key to getting good care; you need to figure out where it is in relation to where you live. There are several centers in Florida, including Miami, listed on the National Pancreatic Foundation site:
https://pancreasfoundation.org/patient-resources/npf-centers-of-excellence/
I couldn't find anything listed in the Caribbean, but this site lists cancer centers in Central and South America. These are not specifically pancreatic cancer centers, so you'd need to check each one:

I hope some of that helps. If you can provide more info, hopefully we can be more specific.

It's not wrapped around the blood vessels nor is the head blocked but near the ducts. The blood was okay however I have a little more white blood cells than the red.
Both ct scan and mri was done. I am still living in the Caribbean
