I cannot clear my throat; feels like mucus is there. Suggestions?

I’ve tried neti rinse and the nasal spray saline rinse. Nothing really helps. The only thing I haven’t tried it’s adovent. I hesitate trying something else. I have tried so many meds I’m getting tired of putting that stuff in my body

I had this and no one could find the cause until I found a Laryngologist who scoped me below the vocal cords, and diagnosed me with subglottic stenosis.

Hi to all. Just a friendly suggestion my pcp shared about throat issues. Apparently citrus helps clear mucous but can activate inflammation/histamine so I found chewable vitamin c gummies that I can suck on couple of times a day. It has worked for me and hopeful the safe allowed couple a day can show relief for others!🌈

I have this issue also. Finally got to see an ENT specialist and was diagnosed with Globus Pharyngeus. Unfortunately no real way of stopping the feeling 😔

I've had this issue for 2 years now and i'm only 21. I've been to an ENT and was told that its probably just reflux and was given a ppi. I refused to take it because i really wanted to get to the root cause of this issue. I decided to get a h pylori test because i knew that this bacteria is very common and can mess with stomach acid. Turns out i was positive and had to go through a round of antibiotics which was surprisingly easy. I then contacted a naturopath which suggested a strict elimination diet. Ever since starting the diet my mucus has decreased drastically. I remember it being so bad i would have to go to the bathroom to clear my throat because i didn't want it to distract others. I'm currently still on the diet and am slowly seeing more and more improvement, hope this helps.

@erikas my young doctor has not checked you throat even though I'm complaining enough for an antibiotic and steroids. She gave me Montelukast which gave me a migraine in the early morning. I also take Cetirizine..

Guaefinesin 1200mg. 12 hr. Lots of room temp water.
