I am so happy to read that you can walk with a cane. Initially I did, however my balance issues has progressively worsened. I now need to use a walker for everything. God bless you meepmufasa. brotherchuckles 80

Hi brotherchuckes80, I sometimes think I will need a walker soon too. I also have back problems and with the neuropathy it's hard to walk far. God Bless You Too!!!

My problem began when I contracted MRSA after my last back surgery. I have an scs in my Lumbar but continue to receive injections in other areas ofmy Thorax and Cervix.

Can you give us a % of increase in balance from the use of the patches? Thank you. brotherchuckles80

I believe the website says it increases balance by around 31Percent. All I know is that it helps me so much I keep buying them.

@dbeshears1 Deb, the shower bars are on Amazon and search: shower suction grab bar. I paid $20 per and I use two. I just looked on line and the ones I have are on sale for $27.99 for 2 and these have a snap lock feature. Normally $39.99. After you unsnap the lock feature, they are still hard to get off the shower wall. If you get these, do follow instructions. Good luck.

Thank you so much for letting us know about those. They are very inexpensive aren’t they? I’d like to take them along when I travel because even if you stay in place that has accommodations they still often are not in the right place for me. Those look like they would stick on anywhere.

Voxxlife patches have helped my balance. I have neuropathy caused by chemo for breast cancer.

Please, what are voxxlife patches? What percentage of your balance did you improve?

When we travel, I take 2 and you are right, the bars never seem to be in the right location. I happen to be well over 6 feet tall and need them higher. Yes, these are well priced.

It absolutely causes balance issues. I was diagnosed with idiopathic peripheral neuropathy and notice that I had trouble with my balance. My doctor said that neuropathy causes loss of sensation in your lower extremities that lead to balance issues. The solution was to focus on regular balance exercises- for instance standing on one leg for as long as you can without holding on to anything and switching to the other leg and doing the same thing. This hasn’t eliminated my balance issues but they have definitely improved.

Hello @oliver4, Welcome to Connect. I'm no expert but I do have neuropathy in my feet and it does cause balance problems. Here's some information on the topic:

"The nerves outside of your brain and spinal cord can become damaged, which is called peripheral neuropathy. Weakness, numbness, pain and balance issues can be caused by peripheral neuropathy because it makes it difficult to determine where your body is relative to other objects or the ground."

One thing that has helped me is to wear comfortable shoes that also provide support. Exercise also helps with balance issues. Have you tried doing any balance exercises?

I have had PT for balance issues but they seem to worsen the problem
