Can Neuropathy be cured?

Posted by catstx @catstx, Sep 8, 2021

I’ve had P. neuropathy for 30 years. Just recently I’ve better controlled my blood sugar. So, I’m wondering if Neuropathy ever goes away, Or, if once the nerves are dead they’re just dead

@pamelaz and @jfn, There are a lot of different videos available in the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy Resource Library here - https://www.foundationforpn.org/resource-library/

Thank You. But my doc said mine is not curable. It’s like knives stabbing me over and over from my hips, through my butt, down my legs to my toes. I can hardly stand and or Eve think the pain is unbearable. I’ve tried Gabapentin and Lyrica both gave me horrible seizures. I’m already have seizures and these didn’t help. And Cymbalta is just as bad. I started having my arms go out of control. The pain is unbearable.

I know so many videos Nd so little time. This was a lecture on a Tuesday or Wednesday. The lecturer mentioned that the ner es can regrow, and how important exercising is. The irony with that is it has taken me about 20 minutes to reply because i got a killer leg cramp, just before i started my nightly stretches and 'Happy Feet' yoga. At least I am on the floor already. Tomorrow, while my BMD puppies find new ways to be mischievous outside, so I can freeze and they are oblivious, I will look for the video.

Thank you John. There seems to be no MFR expert in my country. Imagine the challenges we are facing.

@johnbishop i have tried several times, but the link will not activate ( or does it activate after I hit reply?) The webinar on or about Dec 8. 2022 was about taking a holistic approach to your neuropathy.

@pamelaz, While your neuropathy may not be curable, there may be a treatment out there somewhere that will provide some relief for you. Please don't give up hope. Have you looked at the complementary and alternative treatments, including supplements known to help with neuropathy? Here is a link to a long list that may be worth a shot - https://www.foundationforpn.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Complementary-and-Alternative-Treatments-Revised-2020-final.-1.pdf.

You might want to share it with your doctor to see if there is something you can try that might provide you some relief.

Also wanted to mention my daughter changed my keyboard, and I forgot to proofread, I will blame it on the cramps, that echo today.
