Can ISO PSA test be requested prior to PC diagnosis?
Is ISO PSA test something that is usually ordered after PC diagnosis or can it be ordered before to clarify consistently elevated PSA test scores?

You might also want to consider the PSE test and attached is a comparison of the two, with sources.

5 ReactionsIt only makes sense prior to diagnosis. It’s a test to decide whether to move to MRI and Biopsy if PSA is high. As mentioned, PSE would be an alternative.

1 ReactionI think the general consensus trends towards the order of: DRE (depreciated)->PSA -> PSE -> MRI -> Biopsy -> Decipher
With all those pieces in hand, you are going to have a solid understanding what, if any at all, your cancer diagnosis is going to be.
That last one is a big one, if not for Decipher I'd be on active surveillance and likely gotten far worse by the time I underwent treatment.

1 Reaction@survivor5280 , just seems like getting a PSE test is really a challenge. Neither my urologist or pcp or any labs near me do it.
@ezupcic I am sure anxious to read your replies from these good folks, because we've run into that before, too. Where are you located? We are in a town of about of less than 32,000 in NM. We may be having to drive 1hr for certain things. That's why we moved back to TX when my husband was 1st diagnosed in 2021 (that & our fam), but have recently moved back! We recently stopped ADT, & I am hoping for the PSE test every 3mos.
You can order your own PSA tests through Walk in Labs. They use Quest and others. The pricing is good too.
@bonanzaman
I don't see the ISO PSA or the PSE test available on their website.
