Just guessing here, but maybe once the pain and inflammation have been controlled with drugs, PT might help to improve strength and flexibility?

1 Reaction@tisme Absolutely - I see a PT who helps maintain my range of motion and find stretches and exercises that work for me without increasing my pain. My rheumatologist stresses that with RA it is very important to keep moving as much as possible.

1 Reaction@tisme Questioned by...? My RA is not in my feet and legs, and I can walk MILES. Maybe not as fast as I once could, and and I need occasional breaks, but walking is not an issue. On the other hand, when the osteoarthritis flares in my knees or feet, walking can be painful.
we have a disability support system in Australia called NDIS, but it won't provide support for those with osteo arthritis, it is said the reason is because too many have it. be interesting to find out what they think about Fibromyalgia.
