Anyone take new drug Camzyos (mavacamten) for HCM?
Since FDA approval in April has anyone (non-clinical trial patient) actually obtained a prescription and had it filled? If so, when and where was the cardiologist located? Is the registration process for doctor/patient/Rx taking a long time for this much anticipated drug?
Thanks from a fellow patient!

Good morning-I went to Steamboat Springs. Colorado, last summer and didn't have any problems. It was about 6900-8000 feet. I was there for a week. 🙂
I just started Camzyos. It took 3 months and a lot of stress to get it.
Now I feel like I’m on my own.
I had to ask for an echo. I had to tell my doc Carvedilol has a moderate interaction. I decided to take half. I’m also on Losartan which in one search showed an interaction but in another it did not. I haven’t received the results from my echo, it’s been a week…the info was very clear to get an echo before beginning..
Do I need to find another cardiologist?
I was diagnosed in 1987. I am now 75 years old and had AV node ablation, not in afib now, but started having imbalance walking few weeks ago.
Thank you that, yes I also heard that. Oh well wasn’t to be!
my cardiologist said it has many interactions and one is with the other medication you are on. Veranamil
Has anyone taking Camzyos gone up to an altitude of 7000 feet or higher? If so how long did you stay abd what was the altitude?
