Callus on my hand

You cant see it very well but at the bottom of my ring finger where it meets my palm is a small callus hard skin. Its is just near my ring, How can I get rid of it . Unfortunately I cannotg take my ring off as its too tight. I don't waqnt to cut it too much for fear of getting an infection .. It does not hurt its just annoying Any ideas
