Burning Mouth Syndrome (BMS): Anyone found any relief?
I have BMS 3 years now. Has anyone had pain, and inflammation relief from GABA capsules, or liquid ? Vitiman B12 ?

Has anyone had any relief from taking Gabapentin? My doctor really wants me to take it.
@destinnana Gabapentin- a high-level oral med specialist recently told me you have to take huge amounts of Gabapentin to get any pain relief; she said "if you take that much you will be in a fog."
Has anyone had results with GABA oral spray for relief ? Stu
I don’t wanta be in a fog. I will just continue to try more natural alternatives. Thank you.
None yet, will give it a little time. Also swishing liquid B-12
I also understand that the Gaba is available in a chewable 200 mg wondering if anyone has tried that yet?
It is, I found the oral spray and the chewable on Amazon. I have both are are using the chewable when we travel and spray at home. Hoping I can feel some difference soon. Lately, mine has really been “firing” and I can’t narrow down what’s making it worse. I wish I knew what I was consuming attributed to the flare ups. It never goes away, but there are times it’s calmer. The magic mouthwash is helpful for me, especially at night when I’m trying to get to sleep.
Hi please let me know how effective either the spray or the chewables work. I've been dealing with this for over three years. Mine is in the back of my throat and uvula and on the sides of my cheeks closest my gum line. Yes it affects us differently at different times of the day usually mine is worse at night and upon waking. Do you have a metallic taste in your mouth upon waking? I do. Let me know how you make out thanks regards ,Stu
I have had some relief from Klonazapam (need script} but not nearly enough. Have had burning mouth for about 6 years. Had all the tests and blood work and was told at one point that it was nerve damage from heavy duty antibiotics post c-diff recurrences. I am trying R-Lipoic Acid which is a supplement. Read about this when you have the chance. I feel terribly that you or anyone else has to deal with this as doctors, dentists, GI specialists have no clue how to help.
HI Evelyn.
I took dissolved. 25mg klonazepam 3x a day for a month. No change.Have you tried GABA supplements ?
Still miserable 3 years plus at 59 years old. Stu
