Does anyone on Brinsupri experience weakness and lightheadedness?

I have Bronchiectasis and chronic pseudomonas's as. Since I have been on Brinsupri. So many of my symptoms are now under control. Less coughing and mucus production. How ever, there are pockets in the day when I feel light headed and weak in the body. Does anyone else suffer this symptom. It’s the one thing Brinsupri does not take away. Than you for any help

I have a friend who is also on Brinsupri, and he mentioned feeling those same energy dips throughout the day. He found that those symptoms weren't from the medicine itself, but were usually signs that his body was working overtime to fight the underlying infection.
He said it is a good idea to check in with your doctor to make sure your blood pressure and oxygen levels are staying steady during those weak moments.

Sounds like low blood sugar issue. Better to check those symptoms with your Primary!

I have been on Brinsupri for a week. The last couple of days, I have noticed uncontrollable coughing like a dry cough at night. I cough during the day too but more productive then. I have had bronchiectasis since I was 5 years old. Hoping Brinsupri can help me with the amount of mucus. No side effects except this cough. Anyone else?

I started brinsupri last September and initially had increased coughing spells. It has gone away- can’t remember when exactly but it didn’t last too long

Hi…I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis in December following an asthmatic episode. The diagnosis helped explain many of the symptoms I’ve been aware of for a long time and the symptoms seemed to worsen following the diagnosis! My pulmonologist suggested I try brinsupri and I have been taking it for about a week now. On a positive note I am having fewer coughing episodes and mucus is able to come out more easily. However, it is still a very dark color. I am also just so exhausted to the point that everything seems to be an effort! Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms shortly after beginning Brinsupri? Thank you 🙏

@turtlegals yes, bronchiectasis by itself can be exhausting! I’ve been on Brinsupri going six months and over the last several months there have been lots of steps forward, and lots backwards. My advice is to hang in there. In the meantime, if you have darkening sputum, perhaps it’s worth dropping off a sputum sample. Do you have an open order? I feel like Brinsupri helped me to clear out a lot of old gunk so that could be part of it, or perhaps you’re having an exacerbation.
