Breast Pain With Inflammation Of Rib Cartilage

Posted by aeb @aeb, 20 hours ago

I’m 86 years old and I have Costo Chronditis, an inflammation of the cartilage that connects to the breast bone. I also have curvature of the spine, which may have caused the inflammation. I am experiencing some on and off pain in my breast. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced the breast pain?

hi, aeb,
breast pain is common with costochronditis. But you could have a medical consultation to rule out things like cardiac issues, even though you don't want to.

I hesitate, being male and at a ripe age, to contribute to this discussion since I have no experience in the topic, but breast pain might be anything from a pinched nerve rotted in the spine to vasculitis to tumor to cyst, even a localized infection. IT might just be inflammation, in general, which can be controlled with yet more meds. A CRP test would show if it is inflammation causing the pain. Considering your overall health and condition, I would urge you to consult a physician about what you are experiencing. We can only guess here and have no access to any history or current meds, supplements (some of which might be working against you), etc.

Please see a physcian.
