Breast biopsy became a lumpectomy: Diagnosis Fibroadenosis

Need guidance had Biopsy of breast surgery scheduled but on the day doctor discovers Cyst Grew and cells spread into the breast - and removed cyst/lump in left breast -awith areas affected and healthy breast tissue surrounding affected area also auxilarry on chest wall.

lump size 3.6mm-3.3cm grew to size 7.5cm-7.3mm diagnosis came back -FIBROADENESIS
Treatment options....going forward
my choice i select:
I want to go for MESECTOMY ON BOTH BREAST

@tersia, welcome. You must have been surprised that the biopsy ended up being a lumpectomy. But that is good news that it was removed with clear margins of healthy tissue around the lump. Fibroadenosis of breast is a non-cancerous abnormal lump in the breast.

Tersia, is it being recommended that you have a mastecomy of both breasts? Or is this something that you wish to have after this scare?

It’s not cancer. if it was me, I wouldn’t want any mastectomies?

After this scare i opt in for masectomy....

as it still places me in high risk for cancer developement due to family history with cancer

red cell count is not building up - and the cysts is reoccurring and its with my monthly cycle sooooooo i thought it would be BEST and all will be fine, and i will be in a low risk...

I`m surprised that you would be able to find a Dr that would perform that procedure, or an insurance company that would pay for it.
