Bowel movements - pieces crisscross piled on top of each other

This is a little hard to describe, but has anyone with IBS had movements that look like four or five pieces crisscross piled on top of one another? A little on the softer side, but still holding together. My IBS is in a flare right now with ache on left side that moves anywhere from lower pelvic area to the top of the waist. Occasional crampiness and occasional frequent movements. 65 years old. I have not had a colonoscopy. Had IBS for 30 years.

I had a bowel movement like that a few times.I am not sure but it may be that the fecas is getting stuck somewhere and then coming out in bits.It could be a sign of loose strictures in the back passage in so far as you are not able to push out the full motion and the bit that remains hardens. There are internal and external strictures and they can get loose.A Gasto can check the strictures when you are having a colonoscopy.
