BOTOX at 71

Posted by hopenr @hopenr, Mar 12 10:29am

I look in the mirror some days and see someone older than I feel. I am 71 and wonder if anyone has had BOTOX at my age? Or filler? Any suggestions?

@fyeldbar. W hat do you like about “Hot and Sassy?” And how about Dr. TonyYoun?
I think it’s great that people find such interesting things on YouTube! Maybe I’ll try out these two sites!

I like Hot and Sassy because the speaker is over 60 and shows ways of “putting yourself together” in age appropriate ways. She talks about things she has tried and failures. Also vacations she has gone on with daughter.

Dr. Youn is a trained plastic surgeon from Michigan, who believes in first treating through nutrition. He is selective in surgeries he performs and has a few great books and audiobooks out that are interesting and helpful. He even makes comments on procedures that are being done by some for “money grabs”.
I only got hooked on these through COVID. I find time now while walking and listening.

I used to get Botox and fillers when in my early 40’s! I am a big fan. I’m glad because I think getting it for several years helped me long term. I still think I reap the benefits 20 years later. Now, I’m planning on lower face lift, but may get botox touch up, if surgeon recommends it. He did caution me of fillers now. Apparently, they now use the patient’s own fat for fillers.

@celia16. Everyone will choose what suits them best. Our bodies. Our choice.

I’m now a fit and healthy 62 year old. I have never done Botox or anything to delay ageing other than using a good cleansing and moisturising regime, and doing cardio and weight lifting to make me feel good. Exercise is such a tonic!

It doesn’t make my regime correct or yours wrong. I’m just so very grateful that I don’t feel the need to worry about holding back ageing with cosmetic surgery.

I’m so lucky to be very comfortable with who
I am and where I am at as naturally as possible.

Thank goodness 🙏
