blood test

I just received results from my blood work. MTM/ml 42.99. I don't know what it means and can't speak to my Dr til Monday.

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Cancer Support Group.

You were tested for circulating tumour cells (CTCs)? I didn't know that was common outside trials yet.

Without knowing more about your background (and not being an oncologist), it's impossible to say what, exactly, your result would mean, except that there is at least some DNA shed by CTCs detectable in your bloodstream, so the cancer might not be confined just to your prostate (if you still even have it). But I'm way outside personal experience here.

It might be significant, or it might just be residue, depending on your cancer stage and where you are in your treatment.

I hope you get good answers from your medical team on Monday. ❤️
