Blisters on palms and hand after chemotherapy
Hi My mom has developed blisters from her shoulder to palm on right hand after 10 days of getting chemotherapy with medicines Cyclophosphamide 700 mg and Epirubicin 70mg, they are red, painful and has burning sensation in them. Can anyone please share any experience about this.

@bsarvani, this sounds and looks very painful. EC is the name of a chemotherapy combination made up of epirubicin and cyclophosphamide. It can cause skin changes like rash, itching or changes to the colour of skin or nails (pigmentation). Your mom's situation sounds a worse than that. Since EC also increases her risk for infection, I suggest contacting her oncologist or oncology symptom management nurse to let them know what is going on. Hopefully they can offer something to help and to make you aware of what to monitor.
Please keep your eye out for infection and fever. How is your mom doing today?

Hi, have the blisters improved on your mom’s arms & hands? How is she doing with the chemo treatments overall?
