When you read BCAN (Inspire) it is not uncommon for weeks between cystoscopy and TURBT (or RC). Asking about a specific hospital in the entire US is rather difficult to respond to.
Yes 🙏🙏🙏
Yes in more than one incident for my husband. It is so frustrating to know it is there and still do nothing for so long. It seems like that is where our medical system is now. Even the Mayo Clinic has delays in some departments. While waiting just eat healthy, research ways to support your immune system, and try to avoid the cortisol release that stress causes. Meditation is an art to work on. Good luck.
For me it was about 4 weeks before my first surgery. My Dr said that was the earliest time slot the hospital had an opening..

Not at the James.
But the urologist found a tumor 2 months after the first tumor was removed.
I got scheduled for removal of the second tumor 5 weeks after the cystoscopy. Could not get in any sooner.
This is with Kaiser in Colorado.
Yes, I waited a month for turbt. It was 2 months after surgery that I started BCG treatment. I pray that you will do well and stay positive. It can be a long process so take care and try and focus on some things that you enjoy.

And we all know, after a cystoscopy has found a tumor, it should be removed in 2 - 3 weeks.
Mine was 5 weeks after the doctor found it.
I had to wait 6 weeks as Dr could not get OR time.
Unfortunately, that is the system we have to deal with. After my cystocopy showing my bladder cancer, the doctor's scheduler had me out 6 weeks fot the Turbt. My wife advocated and got me scheduled for 2 weeks. Our doctor and facility ratio to patients is very high. You sometimes have to change doctors or have to pressure their staff to get things done faster.
Yes. There is a huge shortage of urologists and oncologists. And with the aging population this will only get worse. Plus many MDs will retire soon (baby boomers).
