"All the above" Colleen! A broad statistical case overview of BPH by medical specialists at the Mayo Clinic updated at least every 3 years would be one reference point for Connect's lead Group descriptor as Group topic specialization expands in the future.
Connect's topic structure in my opinion should be the classic "drill down" logic diagram of topics. For example, BPH is one icon sub topic of the Urology main category icon. One might start with a big block diagram for Urology with each clickable icon block below it expanding to even more specialized topic sub block icons you "drill down" to below. Thanks for the response, Bob
Hi there, I'm 75 and in the UK and recently had Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia diagnosed when I attended an emergency department for serious faecal and urine retention. That was back in the first few days of September and I was subsequently catheterised right up until the 13th November when I underwent Aquabalation reduction of the prostate as a private patient at a private UK hospital. Since then I was ambulanced back to hospital where I underwent emergency bladder irrigation and an overnight stay in hospital where I received two units of blood due to a much reduced Hb level, having dived from 136 to 80 due to post operative bleed. The final catheter came out five days ago and now I'm in a lot of pain around the penis, scrotal and rectal areas although I can pee but with incredible urgency.
Happy to expand on this of course but looking for similar experiences if possible ...
