Hi there, I'm 75 and in the UK and recently had Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia diagnosed when I attended an emergency department for serious faecal and urine retention. That was back in the first few days of September and I was subsequently catheterised right up until the 13th November when I underwent Aquabalation reduction of the prostate as a private patient at a private UK hospital. Since then I was ambulanced back to hospital where I underwent emergency bladder irrigation and an overnight stay in hospital where I received two units of blood due to a much reduced Hb level, having dived from 136 to 80 due to post operative bleed. The final catheter came out five days ago and now I'm in a lot of pain around the penis, scrotal and rectal areas although I can pee but with incredible urgency.
Happy to expand on this of course but looking for similar experiences if possible ...

Have things started to improve since the removal of the catheter?
