This is as common as belly buttons. Anyone with a decent conscience and who loves at least one other person will naturally ruminate, worry, and fret over an undesired change in someone they know. Just clucking in sympathy is not often our style of being 'present' for them. We try to imagine what else can be done.
Some try Ambien, some try up to 5 mg of pill-form melatonin or gunnies, both at drug stores, some take Zopiclone or other soporifics, ALWAYS under doctor's orders and with a prescription. I would advise against using any of them two nights in a row. Try for two nights not using anything, and then try one the third night. This prevents habituation, or getting used to whatever you want to keep potent.

You can ask your Dr and for a mild medication for anxiety, or Trazodone, which helps makes you sleepy and 50mg is safe to take every night. When you feel better, you can taper off these medications. I take 2mg melatonin with my Trazodone for extra help feeling sleepy. I also use some CBN gummies with help also. I recommend the Minny Grown brand, which are 3rd party tested.
