Bad liver fibroscan

Posted by mharris @mharris, Oct 24 2:42pm

I just got my test results for my liver scan and have and S3 level of steatosis and a level F4 of fibrosis/scarring. Can’t get in to see the doctor for a month. I have all the symptoms of liver disease and am scared. Any information would be helpful.

I just did my latest fibroscan and my results are the same as yours my doctor said that a fibroscan is only a tool in determining fibrosis but that the best way to determine what the actual status of your liver is would be to get a liver biopsy. The liver biopsy I had done said I was at Stage 1 so he classified me as that stage 1, and therefore was under control with the medication for Autoimmune hepatitis. I hope this helps and good luck.
