Atelectasis: What's treatment and timeline for improvement?

Has anyone had a lung CT where the findings included atelectasis? What was treatment and prognosis/timeline for improvement of respiratory symptoms?

Atelectasis, the collapse of part or all of a lung, is caused by a blockage of the air passages (bronchus or bronchioles) or by pressure on the lung. I added your question to the Lung Health support group too. @helena4000 @clipper and others have talked about atelectasis (collapsed lung) and may be able to share their experiences: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=Atelectasis

@mamaaloha, were deep breathing exercises recommended for you?

Thank you @colleenyoung .

I'm using an Aerobika, but due to mucus issues, also have started nebulized NAC and saline. I'm not sure how long things take to resolve, but I can certainly feel things moving around in there so I'm feeling hopeful.

Thank you for the links to the lung health support groups. I'll check them out!
