At 15 mg Pred. My Pain Tolerable. Will Exercise Cause a Setback?
In otherwords, 15mg pred. makes the pain tolerable and to some degree non-existent.
If I return to light free-weights, squats, biking, and so on, would I cause the PMR to come roaring back to the point where 15 mg pred. would stop working for me?
I ask because I really miss regular exercise activities, but do not want to suffer a significant setback.

When switching amounts of medication like prednisone or any other medication your body needs to adjust to the new amount I believe it can’t hurt to go very slow with exercise when you first switch to a different dose level so you give your body a chance to get used to that new level and I would go very slow give your body a chance to adjusts to the new does.Again everybody reacts so differently to medication switches to medication‘s. basically my main point is when you would change your medication amount of medication give your body a chance to adjust to it and when you do exercise go very slowly in the beginning and see how your body reacts to the exercise can’t hurt. My best wishes to you going forward!!!
If you are otherwise healthy and used to exercise by all means continue. This helps me tremendously. If you don't exercise regularly, start easy and progress from there. In my opinion and experience (3rd year with PMR and GCA) you want to keep moving.
