Has anyone taken astragalus root or shilavit?

Anyone tried these or holistic meds. Have been on dialysis for for 6 months wish I had known more before I started.

@fran20 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! There is a lot to learn when we start dialysis. Which modality are you on, hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis?

What have you learned now that you wish you had known about before? What questions do you have now? I have been on peritoneal dialysis since Aug 2022 myself!

We do need to be mindful of any supplements we take. What has led you to ask about these two?
