Are there any supplement suggestions?

I know that supplements, in general, get a bad rap. That said we need to think about ANY available options in situations with few available effective treatments. Any ideas?

I work with a nutritionist who specializes in autoimmune problems. She recommended Omega 3 supplements, sipping bone broth, and then L-theanine when I started having insomnia.

@kaygs can you tell me which brand you use in the Omega 3?

The nonprofit NTM Info & Research has a helpful nutrition playlist featuring Michelle MacDonald, previously a nutrition supervisor at National Jewish Health. There are over a dozen informative videos, and this one focuses specifically on supplements.

Here is the link to the video:

@becleartoday this was the best video I’ve ever seen on supplements. I see these people reading on the internet and they think that the info is accurate. And I know it’s not. Kudos to the doctor on her thorough explanation.

@blm1007blm1007 well she said a lot of what I believe in. I see so many people that just read it online and they’re mixing things that they know nothing about. They act like it’s a cult with supplements.

@jenny0822 It is surprisingly easy on the digestive tract! Right now my dietician has me taking two in the morning and two in the evening, and I’ve had no trouble whatsoever. The omega supplements I’ve tried in the past really bothered my stomach/gut.

@jenny0822 Yes, she has been very helpful to many of us with BE with her having been with National Jewish Health/Hospital/Clinic in Denver. For sure good information to consider.

@kaygs This is the one I use after trying several others. The Nordic Naturals brand seems to be very high quality. I watch for (frequent) sales in the Health Food section of my local supermarket.
