Are there any males that experience breast nipple pain?

I am a 76-year-old male in good health. Over the past 18 months I have had two knee and one shoulder replacement operations. I gained ten pounds and now by increasing my cardio and weightlifting routine, I lost 15 pounds.
My problem is that my nipples hurt. If I touch them the pain increases. In my younger days I ran marathons, I know the nipples rub against the shirt and become painful. I did not seek a doctor’s opinion because of my past experience with marathons.
However, the pain has not been alleviated. I will make an appointment to get examined by a doctor. I am curious if any other males experienced this pain and if there was a remedy.
