Are Infusion Pharmacies Closing?

Posted by notnancy88 @notnancy88, 3 days ago

I have been receiving medications from both Paragon ( Dallas and Plano TX) and Medway. The three antibiotics and associated supplies including sterile dressing packs for my PICC line are delivered to my home once weekly. Paragon sent the delivery via FedEx. Medway has a courier who delivers my large box of meds, etc. for this series of combating Mycobacterium abscessus subsp. Abscessus.
Is anyone else hearing that these infusion pharmacies & companies are closing their doors the end of September?

My primary home health nurse who comes once a week two complete a physical assessment, change my sterile dressing, and draws my three required labs as ordered by my pulmonologist.

I was always taught if you can’t stand the answer don’t ask the question. I already received a letter from PARAGON last week that said I would no longer be receiving medications if I was considered an acute case. This week I received my medications and supplies.

I didn’t have to call anyone. UT East Texas in Tyler contacted me this afternoon to inform me that Paragon Infusion Pharmacies will be closing.
The doctor’s orders for my meds have been sent to Vital Care. This company will assume control of my home IV therapy and supplies.
All is well.
