Are EMG and nerve biopsy tests necessary year after year?

My neurologist wants to do these studies every two years and I'm now refusing. Seems like the results indicate hereditary PN progressively getting a little worse. Then it's have a nice day because there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it. Am I just being stubborn? Is there a good reason to test? Let me know!

I have Notalgia Paresthetica and
Have heat in my body and I don’t like gabepentin. What can I take for the nerve that is pinched that causes itching, but worse causes this heat in my body. I’ve had many tests, but all shows normsl

Welcome @mac05, It must be difficult dealing with itching along with the heat. I'm wondering if you might find some answers in the following discussion.

I am having an autonomic test done Oct. 20th and the neurologist suggests waiting for those results to see what to do next. The itching is not what bothers me as much as the heat within my body. Has anyone else with NP
Talked about heat as I have described??
