Appointment Canceled / Request denied

Hello;

My partner has been waiting a couple months for a cardiology appointment that was set for next Tuesday. She did all the paper work and pre-appointments and insurance approval and travel arrangements had been setup and paid for.

Today she got a formal voice mail from a manager with no explanation that said:

"our, uh, CV Care team has re-reviewed your request for an appointment on the 23rd, and at this time, uh, we've decided to cancel that appointment, uh, and deny the request uh to be seen here."

She's quite ill, why would this possibly happen and why didn't they explain what is going on?

@jamiedolan, this must be quite a shock. I strongly encourage you to call cardiology first thing Monday morning to find out what is going on. If you don't have the department number, please call the Central Appointment Office at the Mayo location where the appointment was scheduled. Wow, that’s outrageous. I’d be livid and confused. I hope it’s a mistake and can be cleared up when you call them.
