Anyone with autoimmune issues taking Evenity for osteoporosis?
Hi, all: I recently posted asking if any of you had experience with the osteoporosis drug Prolia, as I have been told I might have to take it. I am very concerned that I will have debilitating side effects if I go on the drug. I have 3 autoimmune illnesses (lupus, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease) as well as heart disease and severe lumbar stenosis, which causes muscle pain. Several of you have responded with information about your experiences with Prolia, and I am grateful for that. I would like now to ask if any of you have taken Evenity, as there is a slim chance this will be prescribed for me.
There is a cardiac contraindication for Evenity, but my cardiologist isn't concerned that I am a heart attack or stroke risk and feels I should be on the strongest bone builder possible, and Evenity builds bone rapidly. But there are other downsides, among them several "hypersensitivity" reactions, and with my wacky immune system, that could be bad news.
If any of you could offer me information on your own experiences with this drug, I'd be extremely grateful. I have to choose between Evenity and Prolia in a couple of weeks, and my doctors are not being much help when it comes to making a decision.

I’m taking it. Month number 4 this month. So far it’s good n. I have heart issues like you with a number of auto immune issues.
No problems so far for me.
