Anyone under osteoporosis and waiting for spine fusion surgery?

I am starting Tymlos as my T score is -4.3 and I need back fusion surgery which is how I found out I have osteoporosis- anyone in this situation?

I developed a compression fracture after my spine surgery. That’s how I found out I had osteoporosis.

Is there any way you can postpone the surgery until after you finish a year or two of Tymlos? Or is the pain too great? I hate the idea of their screwing those 3 to 4 inch screws in bone that is not firm.

You might ask your rheumatologist about that.

They did postpone surgery, thank goodness the surgeon had a DEXA scan prior to surgery, but wondering how long before surgery could be done? If anyone has the same scenario it would be helpful to find out what they did
