Anyone tried new Sarclisa (isatuximab) on-body injector (OBI) for MM?

Sarclisa just released subcutaneous shot ( OBI)to replace IV delivery. Anyone tried this yet? Is dosage delivery adjustable to be same as IV? Any side effects ? Do you find it preferable?

@mws, it sounds like this delivery method could be a real game changer. It's only recently been approved so I went on an internet goose chase to try an find an image or video on how it works. I only found this text description:
"The Sarclisa Escena hands-free on-body injector (OBI) is a small, wearable, single-use automated delivery system. It adheres directly to the skin (typically the abdomen) to administer subcutaneous anti-cancer medication in minutes, replacing multi-hour intravenous infusions."

Might this be an option for you, @mws?

I saw a video of that as part of an IMMF zoom (Internatl. MM Foundation). Don't know if available yet, but here is info: https://www.ajmc.com/view/on-body-injector-for-sanofi-s-isatuximab-approved-by-fda-upping-anti-cd38-competition-in-myeloma

Just sent the following question to provider.

Thanks for the info and congratulations.

I have a very important question that was not covered.

The OBI, as I understand it, delivers one dosage (1400mg) to everyone regardless of body weight.

If the IV dosage being given is 750 mg (due to patient body weight) and the OBI is 1400mg regardless of body weight then the patient is getting approximately double the dosage via the OBI as compared to the IV. What effect does this excess (double) dosage have on the patient??

Thank you for directing this to the appropriate person and requesting a reply to me.
