Anyone tried CBD oil or Gummies to calm social anxiety post-COVID?
When we have friends over to visit, after a few hours of talking and processing information, I get a bit overloaded and need to excuse myself and go rest for a while. This is with 4 to 6 people at once. I’m going to an internment in January with a celebration of life the following day, obviously with a lot of people around, catching up, etc. My daughter recommended CBD gummies to possibly help. Thought perhaps the calming affect might take of the edge. Anything involving my brain having to process lots of data; driving, research, conversation with several people impacts me, so not sure if it’ll help, but willing to try just about anything. Anyone used CBD under similar circumstances and had any luck?

I've had Long Covid for more than three years and also a life-long anxiety disorder. I am not a doctor and this is just my personal experience. CBD by itself didn't do much for me. Instead I started using 6mg Delta-9 gummies earlier this year and I have found them to be calming. Stuff you need to know:
- They affect everyone differently, so you need to start small, like maybe a quarter of one gummy. I'm a big guy (6'4/270 lbs) and a single gummy takes the edge off for me -- one and a half and I'm asleep. A full gummy makes my wife unpleasantly stoned (like clutching-the-couch-hoping-she-doesn't-fall-off stoned). For her, about a third of a gummy does the trick.
- I strongly recommend you don't take it and drive, even after you find the amount you're comfortable with.
- I really wouldn't take it if you're taking a sleep medicine or something like Xanax or Lorazepam.
- I'm told it'll flag in a drug test.
- When in doubt about any drug interactions, ask your doctor.
I hope you find something that helps!
