Anyone having hearing problems from medication for MAC? I

I've been on Amikacin and rocephen for IV for about 9 months. I have ALOT of ringing in my ears. They did an Amikacin trough but it cam out normal. Just curious if anyone else has this issue.

I have been on the big 3 for 18 months and after about 8 months I got ringing in my ears but my hearing dr said there was nothing that can be done. I was taken off ethambutol at 9 months as I failed 3 view eye tests and 2 months later I was put on Arikayce. The ringing in my ears has gotten louder and have trouble breathing. I go to me ID dr next week to see if I need to go off Arikayce.

Have you been on Amikacin IV or inhaled Arikayce for 9 months?
Both cause tinnitus. I did both, (separately). While my hearing is still very good, I have balance issues
from inner ear nerve damage.

I'm on amikacin by IV. Maybe that's why my head feels a bit funky. Thank you for your reply. Are you off all meds now and feeling somewhat normal?

Amikacin IV for 9 months seems very long. You might consider a second opinion.
