Did you mean levator ani syndrome ?
I had an acquaintance that had that condition. She lived close to Mayo and had some interesting therapy there. They thought her stretching exercises, relaxation breathing techniques and gave her a device that she placed twice a day in her anus for about 15 min while doing biofeedback exercises. She was also prescribed some mild anti depressant for spasm control and muscle relaxation. All in all, her condition resolved in about 2- 3 months completely and I hope it will happen for you to < 3 . Best of luck !

Hi. I have been diagnosed with Levator Ani. it is debilitating. I haven't read one sucess story about being healed. does anyone have a success story about what helped them to get rid of this horrible syndrome?

Levator Ani is an anatomical structure that is closely associated with the prostate, making it susceptible to prostate cancer infiltration and damage from treatments like radiation therapy, and its role in urinary and fecal continence means it is significantly impacted by prostate cancer surgery and treatment, affecting patient outcomes.

Here is an article that discusses this problem

You really need to speak to your doctor about this? It seems that this can be a real problem when it comes to treatment.. Must admit after all the years I’ve been attending weekly advanced prostate cancer meetings This is the first time I’ve heard of this.

Yes I’ve been through treatments and I’ve had this LA for about 20 years. I couldn’t take radiation after 8 treatments I developed severe diarrhea and couldn’t eat solid food for 2 weeks. I’m now on Orgovyx and my PSA and testosterone levels are undetectable. I’m hoping for the best.

Do they think that the eight rounds of radiation has taken care of your prostate so that it won’t cause more metastasis?

How long has it been that you’ve been on Orgovyx? There is a problem with staying on just ADT. It can cause you to become castrate resistant, average time is 18 to 24 months. I became castor resistant after being just on a Lupron, after 2 1/2 years. Median survival after becoming castrate resistance is two years. It’s been six years for me, but problems appear to be cropping up.

They now have found out that putting people on an ARSI Can delay the time it takes to castrate resistance. Any of the ARSI’s Seem to work. Zytiga or one of the lutamides seem to work . The initial study was with Enzalutamide.

You might ask your doctor about adding the second drug so that you can delay castrate resistance. The ARCHES study was the one that showed the benefit. Here is a link for more information.

Thanks for your reply. How long have you been on Adts and what are you taking now. Also why were you on adts.
Again thanks for the information. I didn’t know that. I was put on Orgovyx in the first place because they thought the radiation would’ve worked. I’ve been on it for 7 or 8 months. I’m 77 and have a lot of medical problems. Therefore no surgery in the plan.
