anyone have experience with a weighted vest to help build bones?

Hi! Just discovered this group. I stumbled across articles by Susan Brown,PHD, from Better Bones, Inc. She recommends wearing a weighted vest (which She sells) in order t build better bones. She also recommends and sells supplements . Does anyone have experience with her products? I have osteopenia and want to be proactive with my health. Thanks for your feedback. Deanna

@gigi4 Thank you for this info! I did buy some ankle weights but they don't fit my weirdly thin ankles. So I'm still on the lookout for something that works. I currently do indoor walking with 2lb hand weights. I will check to see if a REMS test is available in my area. I'm currently taking Tymlos (started last December and have been taking a reduced dose due to side effects) and have my annual dexa in Oct. Keeping my fingers 🤞 that I see something positive as my last few dexa scans have been scary!

@msedpsych I went to a physiotherapist specialized in osteoporosis and after seeing the radiographic pictures and my T-values and talking to me, we tried out what I could actually do, and he made a program geared to my abilities to perform at home for (core strength and endurance). I believe it's a great program in itself.

I still use it now and then. Last month, I finally got the chance to get an affordable, personalized fitness program at a physiotherapist / sporting centre and go there 2 to 3 times a week. As I meet other people there, I'm actually looking forward to go there.
