Anyone have Brain Fog as a result of allergy?
Sometimes I feel out of it, like my brain just wants time out and not be present. I attribute this to allergies, although I am not sneezing or blowing my nose now. Have had several sinus problems like infections, although taking antibiotics clears it up and then it returns afterward.
The humidity in the air makes it worse. I feel more alive in stores with increased AC but today it's cloudy and rainy outside and I am thinking I want to sit and do nothing but I need to do stuff. Has anyone else felt like this and is it allergies?

Hi @phxbarb, yes, absolutely, you are not alone. What you are describing sounds very much like allergy related brain fog, and it is more common than most people realize.
Even if you are not sneezing or congested, ongoing sinus inflammation or undiagnosed non-allergic rhinitis can still cause that heavy, foggy feeling especially if you've had sinus infections in the past. When your sinuses are inflamed, it can affect oxygen flow and trigger low-grade inflammation which impacts energy, focus and mood.
Humidity can definitely make it worse by promoting mold growth and dust mite activity, both of which are common allergy triggers especially indoors. And it makes sense that you feel better in stores with strong A/C — they often have filtered, drier air which temporarily reduces airborne allergens.
A few things that might help:
HEPA air purifier at home: https://amzn.to/46loTiC .
Regular saline nasal rinses to keep sinuses clear.
Check for hidden mold or dust issues especially if symptoms flare indoors.
Consider seeing an ENT or allergist to rule out chronic sinusitis or allergies that are not obvious.
Brain fog from allergies is real and the right environment or treatment can make a huge difference. You are definitely not imagining it.
Hope this helps, hang in there and let us know how you are doing.
