PET was absolutely clean including nodes. Got results in a record 6 hours.
It’s 2.5 years since single mastectomy for IDC ER/PR+, HER2-, on Anastrozole basically since then.
This 4mm showed up 8 days ago , observed by me. A biopsy reveals ER + PR- ( HER2 not in yet) presumed to be - as KI is 3% ) which would support a negative but no guarantee).
It’s in the location of the original tumor so presumably a rogue cell that got away and just under the skin.
Plan presuming HER2- : I guess it’s a lumpectomy on a mastectomy? Switch AI to Examestane and radiation under consideration.
I think you have a biopsy set in about ten days or so? If I've got this right, do check in and tell us what you find out. It is really impossible to know what is going on without one. I do understand your worry about recurrence, as I think many of us share it. Hoping for the best for you.

Hello,
I had my ultrasound. The doc could feel the lump but said she did not see anything concerning on the ultrasound. I am getting scheduled for an MRI to double check.

Hello,
A while back I saw a post/discussion similar to my situation…..a lump that can be felt but can’t be seen on ultrasound. I have been trying to find it to read the comments but am not having any luck. Do you know a way to find past topics?
Thank you!

I had my ultrasound and the doctor could clearly feel the lump, but couldn’t see anything on the ultrasound. So I am having an MRI to double check.
MRI can be used even with double mastectomy.
I'm thrilled to hear this news and that it was local!! Keep up posted and wondering why switch AI?? Self exams so critical as you mention! xoxo

It sounds like good news so far and the MRI seems like a wise idea. Hoping that goes well. And thank you for checking in--much appreciated.
Thank you.
I assume because current AI did not kill this rogue cell grouping!
I like the one I’m on side effect wise so I’ll see if a change is necessary!

You can go into the "Search topics" under breast cancer. If you don't find what you are looking for I'll do some research.
@mir123
I think that is what I did, but couldn’t get it to come up. Maybe I’m not putting in the right words?
I will try again.
Thanks!
Hope your results are all good.
