anyone had any luck with Belsomra to put you to sleep
I take ambien for a couple of years , have copd. Somehow I got insomnia. Ambien usually works for putting me to sleep, not always. but I am always sleepy the next day. What do you all use, if you have COPD, as it makes a difference if you have COPD, not all sleep pills are good for you either that. doc recommended Belsomra? any ideas?

I've had a sleep disorder for 25 years. I take 10 mg of ambian, 2mg of xanax, and 15 mg of miritzipine. I cannot sleep if I don't take the meds. I told him I wanted to get off of it but there's nothing left to try. My body doesn't produce serotonin. Im 65 now.
@froid
@addyrop I just started Belsomra 10mg. It starts working 4 to 5 hours later. This my forth night trying it. What could I be doing wrong. Any help will be beneficial.
@addyrop maybe you are just going asleep on your own since taking that long.
@vegasguitars use the 2.5 ambien. i used 5mg for over 2 yrs. Decided. to try half of it (2.5) and itv we worked. then half of that, it worked. now, nothing and sleep. did not cause dependence obviously so if it works, go for it
I have long haul covid past 4 years. Just prior to that diagnosed with couple autoimmune conditions. I’ve had insomnia for years managed by amytriptyline and Valium. After covid nothing worked - I’d lay awake for days - which only compounded my exhaustion. Belsomra with Valium has been only combo that works for me - it’s not perfect - I still have some difficulty- but after all the trial and error with horrible side affects of so many other meds tried I am grateful for the sleep I do get with this med. Wish you best of luck with it. Copay assist card online.
