anyone experienced lightheadedness' and passing out?
Every once in a while i would experience lightheadedness my body shakes and i just fall to my knees in the pass six months this is happening quite often and I'm unconscious for a second this has happened at work and I was so embarrassed just blamed it on getting up too fast now My daughter witnessed this She is on Me I need to see a doctor. I was in a horrible car accident in 2001 lucky to be alive and walking again, but ended up with an addiction and that was harder to overcome than the injuries God saved me from that 8 years ago and I fear going to Doctors and any kinds of medicine. My blood glucose is good I exercise and fast daily.

This is likely 'positional hypotension.' There is also a syndrome called 'POTS', but that involves a rapid heartrate shortly after one stands up. In your case, your blood pressure is too low (I'm only guessing, and I'm not a qualified medical person). Why is it too low? Electrolyte imbalance, low heart rate, valve problems with poor ejection fraction, an arrhythmia.....several possibilities........ALL of which they, meaning expert physicians, should check out for you.
If you are put on any medication, it's for your own apparent good. If your have heart failure, low ejection fraction, or an arrhythmia, or some other condition that needs correction, perhaps drugs are the answer, and maybe only temporarily. But none of us can possible do more than to guess. You need to present at your doctor's office.

7 Reactions@kajunqueen88 from what you have described, it sounds like vasovagal syncope. I am not a doctor or any kind of medical professional of course, but I came across this a few months ago. In any case, I am glad you are going to see your doctor.

1 ReactionSounds pretty scary! Ever since my stroke seven years ago, I've had some very brief sensations of lightheadedness, but haven't lost consciousness.
Still, I share your hesitation about seeing doctors. I've gotten some pretty mixed medical advice. I spoke about this in my YouTube episode, "Advice, Good and Otherwise" (approx. 6 minutes):
That being said, if I was actually losing consciousness, I'd see a doctor, pronto.

5 ReactionsGood morning
You got a lot of good information above. But I have a couple of questions
Are you on medication’s?
Are you on any new medication’s or have they changed the dosage of any of your medication’s?
Are you taking any over-the-counter vitamins?
Check on every single one ingredient list, dosage, and so on. You might be getting too much of a medication..
You did not State if you were sitting and then got up or if you were walking, Standing or working. If you’re sitting and get up quickly, that could be the cause.. But if you are standing walking or anything else, your blood pressure might be getting too low all of that is easy for the doctors to figure out
Go to the doctor or to the emergency room if you continue to have more.
Wish you the very best

2 Reactions@kajunqueen88 the same questions that @minnesota10 asked were going through my mind! Dehydration is also something to think about. I hate drinking water too, but lately have been forcing myself to drink at least one litre each day - an improvement (in intake only … apparently I still am dehydrated!) - but not enough. You and I are the sort who need to make a conscious effort to drink water. I keep a one litre water bottle with me at all times and keep drinking a little at a time till I have finished the bottle. Sometimes I surprise myself by finishing the water early enough in the day, so I refill the bottle and continue drinking! Once you get into the habit it does get easier to do that!
Also, I just came across another article about vasovagal syncope.

@gloaming it does help if one makes a habit of getting up a little slower and pausing to allow our body to adjust… passing out sounds like something needing medical attention, sooner than later…good luck !

You can probably start with a cardiologist. Most are now familiar with diagnosis of POTS .
Neurologists are short handed and
POTS is prevalent after Covid.
