Anyone being treated for adrenal insufficiency?
I have type 1 diabetes, Hashimotos and have been diagnosed (one yr ago) with adrenal insufficiency and subsequently poly glandular autoimmune disease. I am on prednisone ( 5 to 7.5 mg)for the AI which I really, really do not care for - but I do feel better. Anyone experiencing something similar?

2 ReactionsI have diabetes and a history of hyperthyroidism. Both can be considered autoimmune disorders. I’ve noticed that sometimes autoimmune disorders seem to occur together, IMHO.
One thing I find interesting is that both of you mentioned prednisone. Prednisone is a steroid. My experience with prednisone was that it had a bad side effect of increasing my blood sugar (miserable). Since both of you have had difficulties with prednisone could you ask your providers if there might be an alternative that would be more tolerable? It never hurts to ask.
